The manager, Nicky Thomson, plays an active part in local fora including: the North Dementia Forum, Voluntary Sector Network and the Mental Health Network.

Nicky created a handy wallet sized leaflet “Communicating with someone with dementia: 12 helpful hints” of which 5,000 copies were distributed across the north of Glasgow by the North Dementia Forum. The next step is to distribute 60,000 copies of “12 hints” to all Greater Glasgow & Clyde NHS staff by the Mental Health Collaborative in December 2009. A poster version of the wallet sized leaflet is currently being designed.

There are 2 versions of the leaflet: North Glasgow specific and Scotland-wide.
